Google and Skype could be hit by India data restrictions. An Indian Home Ministry official said that "any company with a telecom network should be accessible". The fight against terrorism, as announced by the government, is likely to affect Google and Skype (after Blacberry) which use encryption. The question is that no-one knows what is under the hood and Google, Skype and Blackberry want that all their data to remain encrypted. The decision to delay the restriction in India could be linked to the hosting of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October.
